Summary: The Accounting Manager/D365 SME role is designed for a hands-on leader to manage a small accounting team and support the ERP system following a recent Dynamics 365 F&O implementation. The position requires expertise in D365 Finance, particularly in a distribution environment, to train the accounting team and drive process improvements. The candidate will oversee all financial functions and ensure compliance with accounting standards while aligning financial strategies with company goals. This role is critical for the company's growth and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Day-to-day oversight and hands-on involvement with all financial and accounting functions
• Develop and implement financial strategies in-line with company goals
• Drive process improvements and efficiency gains in accounting operations
• Create and enforce internal accounting and financial policies
• Manage the process and third-party advisors regarding the company's annual audit and tax filings
• In-depth financial analysis and management of financial reports
• Execute month-end closings, financial forecasts, and budget preparation
• Coordinate planning with other company leaders and executives
• Coach and lead the accounting team with professional development
• Review and implement accounting standards and internal policies for compliance
• Other accounting and financial related tasks as needed

Key Skills:

• 5+ years of experience in accounting and finance related roles
• Team leadership experience
• Well-rounded knowledge of GAAP processes
• Manufacturing or Distribution industry experience
• Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O experience
• Experience developing reports, including Power BI, SQL, or Advanced Excel
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
