- Contribute to the production of management and statutory accounts.
Key Skills:
- CCAB/CIMA Qualified or Part-Qualified Accountant.
- Experience in Local Authority Finance is highly desirable.
- Experience providing financial advice to senior members and stakeholders.
- Experience contributing to the production of management and statutory accounts.
- Great communication skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Job Description
Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting on behalf of a Local Authority in Plymouth for an Accountant to join the team on a temporary basis. The role is required to cover gaps in the current team and provide support across the department.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide financial advice to clients, senior finance colleagues, departmental management teams and elected members
- Support service planning especially with regard to financial systems development and working practices
- Deliver minimum statutory finance services, consolidate and ensure continuous improvement, regarding the financial management, financial standing, financial reporting and internal control
- Contribute towards the production of management and statutory accounts
Candidate Criteria
- CCAB/CIMA Qualified or Part-Qualified Accountant
- Experience in Local Authority Finance is highly desirable
- Experience of providing financial advice to senior members and stakeholders
- Experience of contributing towards production of management and statutory accounts
