Accountant

The Opportunity

An established, international travel services business is looking for a F&A Accountant to join its Group Finance function. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing, commercially focused environment, supporting the financial reporting of US-based entities across multiple business divisions.

Working closely with the Finance Manager and wider finance stakeholders, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong financial controls and driving continuous improvement across the Record to Report process.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end and year-end reporting.
• Prepare journals, accruals, prepayments and general ledger reviews.
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Perform variance analysis, identifying key financial trends and performance drivers.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal policies and audit requirements.
• Support internal and external stakeholders with financial reporting and accounting queries.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting efficiency and automation.
• Contribute to finance transformation initiatives and system enhancements.

About You

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA
• Minimum three years’ experience preparing and reviewing management accounts.
• Strong general ledger and month-end close experience.
• Good understanding of statutory reporting, audit and financial controls.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
• Experience using SAP or a similar ERP system is desirable.
• Able to manage competing priorities and work effectively to tight deadlines.
