Summary: The role of Accountant involves producing financial statements and month-end balance sheet reporting for a Financial Services client in Glasgow. This position is initially a 12-month fixed-term contract with potential for permanent placement, requiring candidates with 1 to 5 years of post-qualification experience. The successful applicant will engage with stakeholders while leading month-end close activities and enhancing financial reporting processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead month-end close activities and validate balance sheet movements.
- Responsible for month-end ledger close and provide supporting commentary and analysis.
- Prepare and present financials to board and senior stakeholders.
- Assist and lead regulatory returns for relevant entities.
- Proactively enhance outputs and production methods.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, both written and verbal.
Key Skills:
- 1 to 5 years post-qualification experience in Financial Services or industry.
- Strong grasp of statement preparation, both consolidated and entity level.
- Experience in auditing financial statements from practice.
- Proactive nature with confidence in building rapport and relationships.
- Strong communication skills.
