Summary: The role of Accountant involves joining a commercial client's finance team on a 2-year fixed-term contract, reporting to the Financial Controller. Key responsibilities include financial control, month-end reporting, cash flow management, and process improvements. The position requires a part-qualified or newly qualified Accountant with management accounts experience and strong Excel skills. Key Responsibilities:
- Drive financial control and management, including month-end reporting and cash flow management.
- Review and introduce process changes to enhance efficiency.
- Prepare P&L and balance sheet reports.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts, control accounts to ledgers, and revenue and cost of sales reporting.
- Revalue open debtors, creditors, and bank accounts.
- Process purchase invoices and journals, and reconcile monthly uplift accounts, accruals, and prepayments.
- Calculate and post monthly depreciation and amortisation charges.
- Process quarterly VAT returns and handle payroll transactions and payments.
Key Skills:
- ACCA, CIMA or ACA part-qualified or newly qualified Accountant.
- Experience in management accounts.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work with key stakeholders.
