Key Responsibilities:

• Support Finance Business Partners in preparing revenue and capital budgets and budget monitoring activities.
• Provide expert financial advice to budget holders and key stakeholders, supporting funding bids and preparing formal reports.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, legislation, and internal policies.
• Lead the production of statutory government returns and interpret complex financial data for strategic decision-making.
• Manage and supervise a small team of Finance Officers and Assistants to deliver high-quality financial services.

Key Skills:

• Recognised CCAB qualification (preferably CIPFA).
• Proven experience in data analysis and presenting complex financial information.
• Strong understanding of the local government finance system and upcoming changes.
• Ability to supervise a small finance team and foster a collaborative environment.
• Experience with Dynamics D365 & CIVICA Financials is ideal.
• Strong time management and prioritisation skills.
