Summary: The Accountant role is a 12-month fixed-term contract focused on managing the financial health and compliance of the organization. The position requires maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring adherence to accounting standards. The Accountant will play a crucial role in decision-making and strategic planning through financial analysis. The role is based in Northern Ireland, specifically Belfast.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, reports, and forecasts.
  • Compliance with relevant accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
  • Timely completion of tax filings and other regulatory requirements.
  • Completion of all audit and statutory work within the required deadlines.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting under US and local GAAP.
  • Calculate monthly accruals/prepayments.
  • Maintain fixed asset module with additions, depreciation, etc.
  • Take responsibility for month and quarter end deadlines.

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience in accounting, financial reporting, and analysis.
  • Ideally experience of working in a shared service environment.
  • Experience in producing monthly financial statements and group reporting to tight deadlines.
  • Good understanding of accounting processes and procedures.
  • Sarbanes Oxley experience (desirable).
  • Knowledge of Oracle Financials (desirable).

The Role: As an Accountant, your primary role is to oversee and manage the financial health and compliance of the organisation. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, analysing financial data, and ensuring adherence to relevant accounting standards and regulations. Your expertise will contribute to informed decision-making, strategic planning, and efficient financial operation.
