Summary: The role of Accountant is a 3-month fixed-term contract based in London, focusing on financial reporting and compliance within a rapidly growing green energy group. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the monthly financial reporting and close process, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery
  • Support the preparation of statutory accounts and year-end financial statements
  • Assist with the external audit process, liaising with auditors and preparing supporting documentation
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and maintain strong financial controls
  • Support the preparation of management reports and financial analysis for senior stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal reporting requirements
  • Assist with process improvements across finance operations and reporting procedures
  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities where required
  • Work closely with the wider finance team to manage ad hoc reporting and project work
  • Contribute to maintaining accurate financial records across multiple entities

Key Skills:

  • ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified
  • Open to candidates from either industry or audit backgrounds
  • Previous experience within financial reporting, statutory accounts, or audit support
  • Strong understanding of financial controls and reporting processes
  • Experience supporting external audits and working with auditors
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills
  • Confident communicator with the ability to work collaboratively across teams
  • Ability to operate effectively within a fast-paced environment and manage competing deadlines
  • Prior exposure to the energy, renewables, infrastructure, or related sectors would be advantageous but not essential

Our client is a rapidly growing green energy group with a strong presence across the UK and Europe. Operating within a fast-paced and evolving sector, the business is focused on delivering sustainable energy solutions and driving long-term environmental impact. Due to increased reporting requirements and ongoing growth, they are seeking a qualified Accountant to join their London-based finance team on an initial 3-month fixed-term contract.
