Summary: The Accounts Receivable Manager role at a well-known public organization in Glasgow City Centre involves managing the Accounts Receivable and Credit Control function on a temporary 6-month fixed-term contract. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day activities within the Accounts Receivable and Credit Control function.
- Oversee changes in status impacting fees for accurate income recognition.
- Lead the team in liaising with third parties and improving the customer journey.
- Develop and document procedures for internal and external finance staff.
- Ensure compliance with regulations and maintain financial records for audits.
- Process month-end close and assist with complaints management.
Key Skills:
- Previous experience in a finance role within operations.
- Experience in a supervisory role.
- Sound knowledge of financial IT systems and process development.
- Excellent IT skills, particularly in advanced MS Excel.
- Strong organizational skills and a flexible approach to workload.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in HE/FE or public sector environments.
- Exposure to credit control functions.
