Summary: The Account Manager role involves developing leads within OEMs’ supply chains and service providers to drive sales of virtual vehicle development solutions in the UK. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop leads within OEMs’ supply chains and service providers to deliver sales of solutions for virtual vehicle development to customers in the UK region.
  • Understand the customer's needs and deliver examples of solutions that demonstrate clear capability.
  • Nurture and maintain customer relationships, ensuring customer satisfaction with IPG products and services.
  • Create and execute weekly, targeted contact plans for various customer domains (e.g. vehicle dynamics, ADAS, powertrain).
  • Identify and resolve client concerns; recommend a course of action to alleviate these concerns in the future.
  • Work directly with engineering teams to ensure customer project requirements are met.
  • Remain up to date on IPG products and services.
  • Provide input into IPG marketing and technical sales activities; highlight and inform of priority topics of interest and areas of focus for technical demonstrations.
  • Manage monthly sales reporting to the parent company (forecasting, achievements, and market updates).
  • Build quotes and contracts for sales opportunities.
  • Review and approve test licence requests and follow these new leads.

Key Skills:

  • Mechanical, automotive, robotics or other related engineering graduate.
  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience in a technical role, preferably automotive.
  • Sales and marketing experience is useful.
  • Good humoured, proactive personality with high levels of initiative and integrity.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel nationally when required.
