Summary: The Contract Social Media Account Director at VCCP will serve as the strategic and creative lead for a key client, focusing on the development and execution of impactful social media strategies and campaigns. This role requires collaboration with internal teams and external partners to enhance brand presence across various social platforms. The director will also mentor junior team members and stay updated on industry trends to ensure the brand remains competitive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead day-to-day client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor on all things social.
- Own the organic development and execution of social media strategies, content plans, and campaigns.
- Maximise brand awareness of the brand on social media through channels such as Instagram, TikTok and YouTube.
- Collaborate with creatives, strategists, and analysts to bring ideas to life and optimise performance.
- Guide community management approaches and oversee crisis/response planning as needed.
- Present confidently to clients and stakeholders, delivering insight-led recommendations and reporting.
- Stay on top of trends, platform updates, audience and cultural behaviours to stay ahead of the curve.
- Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a high-performing, supportive culture.
Key Skills:
- 5 - 8 years' experience in advertising including social first campaigns, with at least 1 year at Account Director level or equivalent.
- Proven experience managing large brand accounts and complex campaigns.
- Strategic thinker with creative instincts and a strong understanding of performance metrics.
- Exceptional client handling skills with the ability to influence and build long-term partnerships.
- Deep knowledge of social platforms, content best practices, and paid/earned media.
- Confident leading cross-functional teams and delivering integrated marketing work.
