Summary: We are looking for Academic Tutors in Maths, English, and Science to support students in various settings, including 1:1 and small group sessions. The role involves working two to three days a week to help students achieve their full potential. Tutors will deliver tailored programs, maintain progress records, and assist teachers in creating a positive learning environment. This position is integral to fostering student success within a vibrant and diverse school community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering tailored programmes of study to small groups and 1:1 sessions
  • Ensuring students meet their progress and examination targets
  • Liaising with parents and reporting weekly to the Head of Subject
  • Maintaining accurate progress records and providing clear feedback
  • Using behaviour strategies to create a positive learning environment
  • Supporting students in whole class settings by assisting teachers, preparing resources and engaging learners
  • Acting as reader or scribe when required

Key Skills:

  • Relevant qualifications that demonstrate evidence at A Level or undergraduate degree (or equivalent) in English, Maths or Science
  • Excellent numeracy/literacy skills
