Summary: The Academic Area Manager role at Twin Group involves overseeing the delivery of academic programs at various summer school locations, ensuring they meet high industry standards. Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure academic program delivery meets required standards across different centers.
  • Oversee classroom documentation and lesson quality in line with company policies.
  • Conduct audits and spot-checks on classrooms and academic environments.
  • Provide feedback and support to academic staff to maintain delivery standards.
  • Maintain accurate academic records and provide guidance on best practices.
  • Organize and lead Continuous Professional Development (CPD) sessions for teaching staff.
  • Act as a mentor for teachers and oversee student placement testing.
  • Ensure quality assurance through regular checks and evaluations of student progress.
  • Coordinate communication between academic teams and central management.
  • Provide emergency support during staff shortages or crises.
  • Monitor student welfare and address academic or welfare concerns.
  • Travel between centers to provide oversight and support, including overnight stays.
  • Complete appraisals and provide feedback at the end of the contract.

Key Skills:

  • TEFLQ diploma in ELT/TESOL as specified by the British Council.
  • Experience in summer school management or a similar role.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and a positive professional attitude.
  • Experience working with under-18s and leading a team.
  • Experience as a teacher trainer (desirable but not essential).

Salary (Rate): 1250.00
