Key Responsibilities:
- Provide facilities maintenance for airside operations at Heathrow Airport.
- Work with various AC and refrigeration systems including VRV’s, VRF’s, splits, multi, cold rooms, AHU’s, and fridges.
- Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and repair work.
- Complete all necessary airside training and competencies provided by the employer.
- Manage fluid working hours with no restrictions on overtime.
- Participate in night works, averaging 6-8 nights per month.
- Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards within the airport environment.
Key Skills:
- Level 2 qualification in AC & refrigeration.
- FGAS category 1 certification.
- Experience in providing PPM and repair work for AC and refrigeration systems.
- Ability to work airside in a busy airport environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.

AC Engineer – Heathrow Airport – 22.50 – 25PH I am currently representing an excellent facilities & construction expert who are in need of AC/Refrigeration engineers to work within Heathrow Airport. They have been successfully operating for over 10 years and provide full construction fit out through to facilities maintenance to high end commercial clients including airports, show rooms and various others.
You will be providing facilities maintenance airside to various airport lounges, restaurants and retail working with the following:
- VRV’s
- VRF’s
- Splits & Multi
- Cold Rooms
- AHU’s
- Fridges
- Mechanical & building service maintenance
The successful candidate would have their level 2 in AC & refrigeration and FGAS category 1 and adverse in providing PPM & repair work to the above. All airside training and competencies are provided through the business. You will predominantly be based at Heathrow airport.
In return my client is looking to offer:
- 22.50 – 25PH - PAYE Permanent contract - 40 hour week.
- Company van, inclusive of fuel and upkeep
- Mobile phone provided
- PPE, Tools, Uniform provided

- 21 days holiday plus bank holidays with holiday increase incentives
- Working hours day – 07.45 – 16.45
- Night works – (usually 21.00 – 03.30/04.00)
- Position is fluid and as hourly paid salary moves in accordance with hours worked, no restrictions on hours / overtime
- On average with Planned Preventative Maintenance – between 6 – 8 nights per month. These again can be worked in a fluid manner if the minors and major services are achieved and in line with Lounge access

- All training costs and development associated with operating for business / within the Airport
- Overtime calculated – time and a half at night Monday to Sat and Sunday’s double time
