Requirements Role Purpose We are seeking an independent AI consultant to support a regional business improvement initiative aimed at identifying and delivering practical, high-value AI projects across our core functions. The consultant will play a central role in helping us move from ambition to action by advising on the most impactful opportunities, guiding structured investigations, and ensuring that any proposed solutions are practical, scalable, and aligned with our existing systems. The scope of this role is to work alongside our regional strategy, IT, HSEQ, and planning teams, as well as functional stakeholders in project execution, tendering, and legal. The consultant will help these teams to understand how AI can address real business challenges and create measurable improvements in efficiency, reporting, compliance, and decision-making. A key element of the role is to translate technical AI concepts into clear business value , enabling informed decision-making by non-technical stakeholders. This requires both strong hands-on experience with automation and AI tools and the ability to act as a trusted, vendor-neutral advisor. The consultant will be expected to assist the identification of 2-3 specific use cases—one per function—that can be developed into actionable recommendations, supported by feasibility assessments and high-level business cases.
