Summary: The role of a 3rd Line Engineer based in White City, London, involves providing advanced technical support within a Microsoft-centric IT environment for a prominent retail brand. Key Responsibilities:
- Providing 3rd line support for complex technical issues
- Managing Microsoft 365 and Windows environments
- Supporting Azure infrastructure and cloud services
- Leading patching, vulnerability management and security improvements
- Managing backup and disaster recovery processes
- Working with networking, firewalls and email security platforms
- Supporting infrastructure upgrades, migrations and improvement projects
- Collaborating with a team of experienced IT professionals
Key Skills:
- Proven experience in a 3rd Line Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer or Senior IT Support role
- Strong Microsoft 365 and Windows experience
- Azure administration experience
- Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Experience supporting medium to large-sized organisations
- Strong networking and infrastructure knowledge
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of issues
- Retail or e-commerce experience (nice to have)
- CCNA or Azure certifications (nice to have)
- Experience with Mimecast, Proofpoint or Microsoft Defender (nice to have)
- Backup & Disaster Recovery expertise (nice to have)
- PowerShell scripting experience (nice to have)

I'm currently supporting a well-known retail brand that is investing heavily in its internal IT function and looking to hire an experienced 3rd Line Engineer to join the team on an initial 6-month contract.
This is a hands-on role where you'll play a key part in improving and stabilising a large Microsoft-based environment, working across infrastructure, cloud, networking and security technologies.
What You'll Be Doing
