Summary: The role of a 3rd Line Directory Services Engineer requires an individual with Active DV Clearance to join a high-performing technical team, focusing on maintaining and improving core directory services within secure Defence projects. The engineer will ensure the stability, security, and performance of mission-critical systems while managing Active Directory and associated infrastructure. This site-based position in Basingstoke involves collaboration with engineering teams and responding to incidents from 2nd Line support. The role demands strong problem-solving skills and a deep understanding of relevant technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain Active Directory Domain Services and associated infrastructure.
- Deliver planned changes through structured change management processes and respond to incidents and escalations from 2nd Line support.
- Support Windows Server environments (2019 and later), manage DNS, create and apply Group Policies, and utilise tools like SCOM and SCCM.
- Work with engineering and architecture teams to assess new releases, maintain documentation, and ensure smooth operational performance.
- This is a site-based role in Basingstoke (5 days a week), with occasional travel to other customer sites.
