Summary: Our OEM Client in Gaydon is seeking a 3D Designer for a contract role until March 31, 2026, classified as inside IR35. The designer will be responsible for translating brand identity into 3D solutions across various physical objects, including vehicle details and EV infrastructure. This position requires collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams to develop innovative design solutions. The role demands a strong understanding of design processes and stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with multi-disciplinary designers and vehicle designers to creatively translate brand design content into 3D solutions.
  • Create and implement 3Dimensional design solutions across multiple physical objects that coherently support the brand vision and position.
  • Able to take rough concepts through detail development into tangible and feasible solutions.
  • Stakeholder Management across interdependent design functions.

Key Skills:

  • Excellent 3D design experience gained in agency and corporate settings.
  • Demonstrable experience of delivering design solutions across multiple product lines in a 3D context.
  • Sensitivity to form and function.
  • Knowledge of production, manufacturing and material processes.
  • Strong proficiency in digital modelling software alias, blender, rhino.
  • Realtime rendering capability in Keyshot or similar.
  • Unreal Engine experience preferable.
  • Strong Stakeholder Management skills.
  • Comfortable working across different cultures, geography and time zones.
  • Able to adapt to a fast-paced design environment.

Our OEM Client based in Gaydon, is searching for a 3D Designer to join their team, Inside IR35. This is a contract position until 31st March 2026.

Umbrella Pay Rate: £33.64 per hour.

The role of 3D Designer is creatively responsible translating the brand identity vision across physical objects, covering a broad range of aspects, including but not limited to, vehicle detail design, off vehicle EV infrastructure, furniture and equipment and collections and accessories.
