Summary: The 2nd Line Cloud Engineer at ERGO Insurance Administration Services will be integral in managing and enhancing the cloud infrastructure, primarily using Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365. This role involves troubleshooting complex technical issues, implementing cloud solutions, and ensuring the security and reliability of cloud services. The position requires collaboration with internal teams and external vendors to deliver projects effectively. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cloud technologies and a strong commitment to IT service excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide advanced support for Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 environments, including troubleshooting and resolving complex issues.
  • Design, implement, and maintain cloud-based solutions to meet business requirements.
  • Ensure the security, availability, and performance of cloud infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to deliver cloud projects on time and within budget.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to cloud architecture, configurations, and processes.
  • Perform regular system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of cloud resources.
  • Participate in capacity planning and optimisation of cloud environments.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies and best practices, and provide recommendations for improvements.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for incidents and implement preventive measures.
  • Manage and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions for cloud services.

Key Skills:

  • At least 5 years of experience as 2nd Line Engineer with a focus on cloud technologies.
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365, including deployment, management, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong understanding of networking principles and cloud security best practices.
  • Proven experience in implementing cloud solutions.
  • Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or equivalent are highly desirable.
  • Experience with scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, Azure CLI) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with ITIL framework and best practices is preferred.
