Summary: The role of 2D FX Animator at Aardman involves creating 2D FX animation in alignment with the director's vision while collaborating with the stop frame animation and VFX compositing teams. Key Responsibilities:
- Realise the director’s vision by creating 2D FX animation for the production.
- Collaborate with the stop frame animation team and VFX compositing team.
- Animate 2D FX on assigned shots according to the director's brief.
- Communicate effectively with the director during briefings and take relevant animation notes.
- Contribute design work for new and varied FX as needed for each episode.
Key Skills:

The Role
We are looking for a 2D FX Animator who will be responsible for realising the director’s vision and create the 2D FX animation for the production while working with the stop frame animation team and VFX compositing team.
The Candidate
The successful candidate will be able to animate 2D FX on assigned shots according to the brief set by the director. As well as being able to communicate effectively with the director whilst being briefed and take relevant animation notes. The perfect candidate will also be able to bring some design work to the new and varied FX that each episode may need. Some design work will be provided but some may need the animators design work or interpretation.
