We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Medical Summariser to join our friendly and supportive team at a busy GP practice in Scotland. This is a fixed-term contract for 6 months initially, created to help address a backlog of medical summarising. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing and summarising incoming patient medical records, coding relevant information using Read/SNOMED codes, and updating our clinical system to ensure accurate and timely patient information.
Prior experience within a GP practice or similar healthcare setting is highly desirable. Experience using EMIS Web and Docman is preferred, as these are essential tools in our practice. Strong attention to detail, an understanding of medical terminology, and a solid grasp of data protection and confidentiality protocols are essential. The ideal candidate will be highly organised, capable of working independently, and confident using their own initiative to manage tasks and prioritise effectively.
The working hours are flexible between Monday and Friday and can be discussed further at interview.
