Key responsibilities
- Support the design, configuration, and deployment of security tools.
- Specify infrastructure requirements, including compute, storage, and network bandwidth.
- Support cloud hosting, containers, and on-premises VM and container deployments.
- Configure network security devices, routers, switches, VLANs, DNS, and identity management.
- Integrate security tools with identity management solutions.
- Develop test procedures to verify functional and non-functional requirements.
- Research and test new technologies, adapting to unfamiliar tools and environments.
- Act as a technical SME across deployment and configuration activities.
- Engage with client stakeholders and communicate technical concepts clearly.
Key skills & experience
- Experience in network design and configuration.
- Experience deploying containers and virtual machines in cloud and on-premises environments.
- Basic OS administration, including Linux configuration, package managers, and scripting.
- Good understanding of TCP/IP and the ability to identify normal and abnormal network traffic.
- Experience working across cloud compute, networking, and storage services.
- Ability to learn new technologies and research potential solutions.
- Strong client-facing communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to build and maintain effective client relationships.
- Current UK SC clearance.
The role is Frimley-based with travel to client sites. The current on-site requirement is approximately 1-2 weeks per month, depending on project needs.
International travel is required, with expectations to be discussed during the interview. Candidates must be comfortable with this.
