Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored 1:1 tuition designed around the student's SEND profile and EHCP outcomes
  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons
  • Build supportive, positive relationships with pupils and families
  • Maintain accurate records and produce clear progress reports
  • Liaise with schools and external professionals as needed
  • Deliver sessions safely in home or community environments
  • Promote independence, confidence and engagement in learning

Key Skills:

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (mandatory)
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience working with a range of SEND (e.g., ASD, ADHD, SEMH, medical needs)
  • Experience teaching or tutoring in an education setting
  • Ability to plan and adapt learning to meet diverse needs
  • Excellent communication and organisation skills
  • Patient, flexible and empathetic approach
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own caseload

Schedule: Tuition takes place during the school day


About the Role

We are seeking experienced, dedicated 1:1 SEND Tutors to support children and young people across Manchester and Salford who are currently unable to attend school due to their SEND or medical needs. Many of our learners have EHCPs, so a strong, confident working knowledge of SEND is essential.

You will deliver personalised, structured tuition that helps learners make progress academically, emotionally and socially, while working in partnership with families, schools and local authorities.
