Summary: The role of Tutor Non-Accredited – Literacy and Employability at Calderdale Adult Learning involves delivering tailored literacy and employability courses to a diverse group of adult learners, including those with learning disabilities. Key Responsibilities:

We are seeking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic, and adaptable tutor to deliver literacy and employability courses for both mainstream learners and those with learning disabilities. Teaching experience is essential, ideally within adult education. The successful candidate will assess learners’ starting points, plan and deliver tailored learning to meet individual needs, monitor progress, and provide high-quality information, advice, and guidance to support learners in identifying suitable next steps and pathways. You will be a strong team player who is flexible, proactive, and ready to embrace new teaching challenges as opportunities arise. A minimum of a Level 3 teaching qualification and a minimum of level 3 subject specialism are essential. You should be able to demonstrate a proven track record of teaching. We expect all staff to embed wider skills in their teaching including, British Values, Safeguarding and Prevent, Equality and Diversity to ensure that learners maximise their understanding.
