Job Title: Qualified Social Worker - Family Support & Protection Team
Location: Tower Hamlets Town Hall, 160 Whitechapel Road, E1 1BJ
Rate: 35 per hour
Role Overview:
The Family Support & Protection Team in Tower Hamlets is seeking a Qualified Social Worker to join their dedicated team. This role primarily involves working with children and families who are engaged in Child in Need (CIN) and Child Protection (CP) plans, focusing on safeguarding and providing tailored support to address specific family challenges and protect vulnerable children.
Key Responsibilities:
Case Management: Manage a caseload of CIN and CP cases, working closely with families to ensure children's safety, well-being, and developmental needs are met.
Assessment and Planning: Conduct thorough assessments to identify family needs, risks, and protective factors, developing and implementing action plans to safeguard children.
Direct Support: Work directly with children and families to provide guidance, support, and interventions aimed at improving family dynamics and resilience.
Multi-Agency Collaboration: Collaborate with various agencies, including schools, health providers, and law enforcement, to provide a holistic approach to support and protection.
Review and Monitoring: Regularly review and monitor cases to ensure that children's needs are being addressed and that any changes in circumstances are responded to promptly.
Requirements:
Qualifications: Recognized social work qualification with Social Work England registration.
Experience: Previous experience working in a Family Support or Child Protection team is essential.
Skills: Strong assessment, relationship-building, and communication skills, with the ability to navigate complex family situations and multi-agency partnerships.
