Summary: The role of Test Development Engineer at Oset Bikes, part of the Triumph Motorcycle Group, involves overseeing the testing and development of components for children's electric off-road motorcycles. This position requires collaboration with development engineers to create test plans, execute tests, and produce technical reports. The engineer will also maintain test reports and asset registers while ensuring compliance with industry standards. This is a temporary position on a 1-Year Fixed Term Contract.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with development engineers to create test plans for verification of designs and sourced parts.
- Set up and run development tests using electrical and mechanical expertise, and produce detailed technical reports.
- Develop test equipment and source suitable external test centres.
- Maintain test reports and asset registers with weekly reporting to management.
Key Skills:
- Min. 3 years in an electro-mechanical manufacturing company.
- Mechanical experience in a similar role testing vehicles or equipment in line with ISO standards.
- Excellent understanding of DC systems and test set up.
- Proven experience in writing technical reports in accordance with verification and validation procedures.
- Experience using and implementing hydraulic or pneumatic test rigs for lifecycle testing of mechanical components and assemblies.
- Accurate data recording and forward thinking to ensure key information is captured.
- Work through test plans with minimal supervision.
- Work with international suppliers and test houses to achieve end goal.
- Practical and applicable knowledge of UK and EU standards and legislation.

We are seeking a Test & Development Engineer at Oset Bikes, a leader in children's electric off-road motorcycles and part of the Triumph Motorcycle Group. In this role you will take responsibility for the delivery of the testing & development of several components on a vehicle, including chassis and electrical testing as well as performance validation.
