Summary: The Test Analyst role involves supporting an HR transformation programme with a focus on the Time & Attendance module within UKG (formerly Kronos). The position requires executing end-to-end testing activities to ensure system quality and release readiness in an Agile environment. The role is hybrid, requiring 1-2 days onsite in Solihull/Birmingham, with the remainder remote. The contract is for 6 months and classified as inside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create, review, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for the Time & Attendance module
- Perform functional, regression, and system integration testing (SIT)
- Log, triage, and track defects, working closely with developers and configuration teams through to resolution
- Validate fixes and perform re-testing cycles
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint reviews, etc.)
- Provide clear test status reporting, including risks and issues
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and coordinate with business stakeholders where required
- Ensure overall test coverage and quality assurance across the module
Key Skills:
- Proven experience as a Test Analyst within HR/Workforce Management systems
- Hands-on experience with Kronos/UKG Time & Attendance solutions (eg Workforce Central or Dimensions)
- Strong functional testing and defect management experience
- Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (eg JIRA, Azure DevOps, TestRail)
- Good understanding of system integration testing
- Basic SQL/data validation skills
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present findings to stakeholders
