Summary: The SURF Flow Assurance Engineer will play a pivotal role in a major offshore development project, focusing on the integrity and performance of subsea production systems. This position involves leading flow assurance studies, performing simulations, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with project standards. The role offers the opportunity to work on complex deepwater subsea systems and contribute to critical technical decisions throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading flow assurance studies for SURF (Subsea, Umbilicals, Risers & Flowlines) systems
- Performing steady-state and transient simulations (e.g., OLGA, PIPESIM, etc.)
- Managing risks related to hydration, wax, asphaltene, scaling, and slugging
- Supporting design and optimisation of subsea production and transportation systems
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams (subsea, process, reservoir, operations)
- Providing technical input into FEED, detailed engineering, and execution phases
- Reviewing contractor deliverables and ensuring compliance with project standards
- Contributing to operability, start-up, and troubleshooting strategies

- Extensive experience in flow assurance engineering within SURF projects
- Proven background working on deepwater or complex offshore developments
- Strong expertise in simulation tools (OLGA highly preferred)
- Solid understanding of thermal, hydraulic, and multiphase flow behaviour
