Summary: The Stores Foreman at PCE will play a crucial role in managing daily operations within the stores department, ensuring high standards and operational excellence. The position requires strong self-management skills to effectively plan and coordinate workloads in alignment with business needs. The ideal candidate will lead and motivate the stores team while adhering to safety and operational procedures. This is a permanent, full-time role based primarily at the Head Office in Tamworth, with occasional site work required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and motivate the Stores team to achieve operational excellence.
- Plan, coordinate and supervise the daily operations of the Stores department at Head Office.
- Ensure efficient operations by adhering to operational procedures and safety culture.
- Process internal orders for site delivery and accept deliveries.
- Pick plant/order requirements and monitor stock levels within the stores area.
- Check condition and servicing of plant and equipment.
- Arrange deliveries of plant and consumables to site.
- Ensure the building is secure and safe at all times.
- Undertake relevant training when necessary.
- Ensure that containers are audited and photographed before sending to site.
- Responsible for personal Health and Safety at all times, within stores and whilst onsite.
- Work in line with site/task specific RAMS.
- Ensure all visitors to stores abide by the H&S rules of the stores area and wear appropriate PPE.
- Maintain fire escape routes within stores correctly.
- Certify plant and equipment prior to delivery to site.
- Manage COSHH and Safety within head office.
- Conduct weekly and daily checks, assessing tasks for environmental risks.
- Ensure risk assessments are adhered to and record any health and safety issues.
- Ensure all systems are up to date with consumable and equipment allocated to site.
Key Skills:
- Previous experience within stores/distribution role.
- Proficient in IT including Office 365 and associated programmes.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask.

As the Stores Foreman you will be pivotal in the effective day to day activities within our stores department and ensuring high standards are maintained. The ideal candidate should have strong self-management skills and be able to plan and co-ordinate their own workload and that of the team workload, in line with business needs and areas that require focus.
