Summary: The SR163 Site Manager role involves overseeing civil engineering works for a National Grid substation build project in Bath. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise all civil engineering activities outside the substation compound.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other key stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations on-site, ensuring adherence to project plans and specifications.
- Implement and enforce health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
- Monitor project progress, prepare reports, and communicate updates to senior management.
- Manage subcontractors and ensure they meet performance, safety, and quality standards.
- Resolve any on-site issues or conflicts that arise during the project.
- Ensure compliance with National Grid standards and regulations.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience as a Site Manager on large-scale civil engineering projects, preferably within the power or utilities sector.
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure.
- Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Valid CSCS card and other relevant certifications.
- Full UK driving license.
- All necessary tickets and authorisations for SR163 nomination, including NSI6 & NSI8 course, NG Person ticket, SMSTS, National Grid HSG47, Environmental Awareness, First Aid, and Impressed Voltage.
