Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist university students with mental health concerns on a 1-2-1 basis.
  • Create strategies for organization and time management.
  • Help students break down tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Support students in achieving a balance between study and daily living.
  • Manage anxiety, stress, or low mood in students.
  • Prepare students for new experiences and build their confidence.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
  • Address individual student needs in a timely manner.

Key Skills:

  • Membership with a recognized professional body (e.g., BACP, BPS, HCPC).
  • Experience working with clients with disabilities or mental health conditions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to help students build on their learning strengths.
  • Punctuality and reliability.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage a caseload of students.
