Summary: The role of Insurance Solution Architect involves working with a leading global IT services supplier, focusing on complex financial services environments and large-scale transformation projects. The position is hybrid, requiring attendance at the Milton Keynes office two days a week. The contract is temporary, lasting over six months, and aims to start as soon as possible. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in solution architecture, particularly with insurance integrations in banking systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Significant experience as a Solution Architect, ideally within complex financial services environments
  • Ability to produce clear functional architecture, design logical components and define interactions between systems, whilst delivering decommissioning and archival initiatives
  • Design and govern end-to-end solutions to translate requirements of common applications in bank landscape for an organisation to function effectively into robust, scalable solution architectures aligned with long-term architecture strategy
  • Act as a trusted architecture partner to CIO function
  • Experience in designing or reviewing solutions for 3rd party integrations would be an advantage
  • Experience balancing business outcomes with long term architecture strategies
  • Experience in working with engineering teams to align technical designs with the published architecture.
  • Peer review designs produced by other team members, ensuring architectural integrity and compliance with standards.
  • Experience in creating practical, workable architectures that can be aligned to IT principles/standards, whilst following the bank's architecture governance processes.

  • Practical and delivery focused mindset
  • Able to operate independently in a fast-moving environment, emphasis on the proactive rather than reactive.
  • Evidence of thought leadership, ownership and initiative
  • Knowledge of BIAN, TOGAF, ArchiMate or C4.
  • Experience with Avolution Abacus or similar architecture tools.
  • Familiarity with microservices, API integration patterns and cloud concepts such as AWS.
  • Exposure to global banking environments or large-scale transformations.

Solution Architect

Our client, a leading global supplier for IT services, requires experienced Insurance Solution Architect to be based at their client's office in Milton Keynes.

This is a hybrid role - you can work remotely in the UK and attend the Milton Keynes office 2 days per week.

This is a 6+ month temporary contract to start asap

Day rate: Competitive Market rate
