Summary: The role of Software Tester involves joining a team to facilitate the transition from an Oracle commerce site to a new website built on Optimizely (Episerver). The tester will be responsible for preparing and executing test scripts, managing defects, and providing feedback to ensure product quality. Strong knowledge of both scripted and ad-hoc testing methods is essential, along with effective communication skills. The position requires on-site presence in Liverpool one day per week for an initial duration of 8 weeks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and execute test scripts for system testing using both scripted and ad-hoc methods, ensuring all tasks are completed within the agreed processes and specified timeframes.
- Accurately record and manage defects through to resolution, providing detailed descriptions and regular updates on status.
- Provide feedback to the project team on test coverage, progress, defect status, timeframes, and overall product quality, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Produce comprehensive test status reports on a regular basis, outlining key metrics and progress indicators.
- Conduct regular regression tests, maintaining and updating regression scripts to a high standard to ensure continuous quality assurance.
- Assist clients with queries post-software release, ensuring timely and effective resolution to maintain client satisfaction.
- Review and analyse business, design, and technical requirements documentation for testability and to construct detailed, actionable test cases.
- Review and approve all test documentation, ensuring all documents meet quality standards and are completed within the project timelines.
