Summary: The Site Manager will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of water and wastewater treatment plant installations and upgrades across sites in the Midlands and Oxford area. This role involves overseeing site activities from mobilisation to commissioning, managing subcontractors, and serving as the primary client contact on-site. The position is contract-based and classified as outside IR35. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in site management within the water or utilities sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Full site management responsibility including H&S, programme, and quality
  • Management and coordination of subcontractors and direct labour
  • Liaison with client site teams and operational staff
  • Ensuring works are carried out in compliance with water industry standards and CDM regulations
  • Maintaining site documentation, RAMS, and method statements
  • Reporting to the project manager on progress, risks, and issues

Key Skills:

  • Proven site management experience in the water, wastewater, or utilities sector - essential
  • Strong mechanical or electrical background, either discipline considered
  • SMSTS certificate (current)
  • CSCS card - black or gold card preferred
  • Experience managing multi-trade subcontractors on live treatment works
  • Solid understanding of CDM regulations and water industry H&S requirements
  • Comfortable working on operational treatment sites with minimal disruption to process
  • Based within commutable distance of the Midlands or Oxford area

Our client, a leading water and wastewater specialist, is seeking an experienced Site Manager to join their delivery team on a contract basis (Outside IR35) across sites in the Midlands and Oxford area.

The role:

As Site Manager you will take full responsibility for the safe and efficient on-site delivery of water and wastewater treatment plant installations and upgrades. You will oversee all site activities from mobilisation through to commissioning, managing subcontractors, maintaining programme, and acting as the primary point of contact for the client on site.
