Summary: The role of Senior Quantity Surveyor involves managing post-contract commercial duties for a major hotel development project in London valued over £100 million. The position is office-based and requires collaboration with the client's Commercial team, reporting directly to the owner/director. Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out post-contract commercial duties on a major new build hotel development.
- Manage cost control and reporting for the project.
- Collaborate with the client’s Commercial team and report to the owner/director.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
- Provide expertise in cost management and building project experience.
Key Skills:
- BSc in Quantity Surveying.
- Cost management experience, including cost control and reporting.
- Experience in building projects (not heavy civils, infrastructure, or oil and gas).
- Relevant UK project experience in residential, hospitals, or hotels.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

Freelance – Senior Quantity Surveyor London
Up to £600 per day shift
Our client, acting in a dual Developer/Contractor role is currently looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to carry out post-contract commercial duties on a major new build hotel development in excess of £100million in London.
This is fixed term contract, offering an immediate start or within the next four weeks for approximately two years. The role will be office based near site, in fully serviced offices with the provision of a PC, working alongside the client’s Commercial team.
As Senior Quantity Surveyor you will report directly to the owner/director and stakeholders. It’s likely you will be degree qualified, BSc Quantity Surveyor with relevant project experience working for a contractor on major building projects in the UK.
Key Criteria:
- BSc Quantity Surveyor
- Cost Management Experience (Cost Control & Reporting)
- A background in Building (not heavy civils, infrastructure or oil and gas)
- London based or within daily proximity
- Relevant UK project experience – (Residential, Hospitals or Hotels)
