Summary: The Senior Planner role involves supporting the delivery of integrated planning capabilities within a complex programme environment. The successful candidate will manage the Integrated Master Schedule, provide planning expertise, and conduct performance analysis to facilitate effective project delivery. Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams are essential for success in this position. The role requires active DV Clearance and is classified as inside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and manage the Integrated Master Schedule across projects and programmes.
  • Provide Planning and EVM expertise to project and programme teams.
  • Deliver accurate and timely schedule forecasting and performance analysis to support business decision-making.
  • Conduct schedule variance analysis, including SPI reporting and critical path analysis.
  • Support the implementation and continuous improvement of Planning processes, procedures, tools, templates, and EVMS standards.
  • Produce Planning and Earned Value deliverables in line with agreed business rhythms.
  • Facilitate planning meetings and actively promote the value and benefits of effective scheduling to project teams.
  • Support long-range operational integrated programme planning activities.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders across project controls, engineering, science, and project management teams.
  • Promote high standards of safety, security, quality, and teamwork throughout programme delivery.

Key Skills:

  • Strong Primavera P6 background.
  • Proven experience in a Senior Planner or Project Controls Planning role within complex project environments.
  • Strong understanding of planning fundamentals and critical path analysis.
  • Experience delivering Earned Value Management analysis and schedule performance reporting.
  • Confident communicator with excellent stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to lead planning activities and drive best practice across project teams.
  • Demonstrable examples of adding value to programmes/projects through effective planning and controls.
  • Comfortable facilitating meetings with PMs, engineers, and technical stakeholders.
  • Proactive, organised, and capable of working independently within a fast-paced environment.
