Summary: An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Project Planner to join a major UK infrastructure programme delivering large-scale network reinforcement works across remote and environmentally sensitive locations. The role involves taking overall responsibility for programme planning and control across a complex, multi-discipline scheme from design through construction and commissioning. You will work closely with delivery teams, supporting leadership with reliable programme intelligence, scenario planning, and progress reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, manage and maintain fully integrated project programmes
- Establish baselines, targets and lookahead schedules
- Monitor progress and performance against the programme
- Identify risks, critical path and constraints
- Produce reports to support project decision-making
- Undertake delay analysis and programme updates
- Support change control and forecasting
- Coordinate planning inputs across design, delivery and supply chain
- Ensure planning governance and best practice are applied
- Contribute to performance improvement and recovery planning
Key Skills:
- Demonstrable experience as a Senior / Lead Planner on major infrastructure or construction projects
- Strong working knowledge of planning and scheduling tools (Primavera P6 or equivalent)
- Understanding of NEC contracts and programme control
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to operate in remote or challenging environments
- Problem solving mindset and attention to detail

The Role
As Senior Project Planner, you will take overall responsibility for programme planning and control across a complex, multi discipline scheme from design through construction and commissioning.
You will work closely with delivery teams across multiple workstreams, supporting leadership with reliable programme intelligence, scenario planning and progress reporting.
