Summary: This role involves appointing an experienced Fund Accountant for a 12-month fixed-term contract with a boutique private equity fund. The position requires oversight of fund accounting for various closed-end structures and support during the year-end period. Ideal candidates will be qualified accountants with experience in private equity, seeking a dynamic environment where they can make a significant impact. Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the fund accounting and reporting for several closed-end private equity structures, co-investment vehicles, and SMAs
- Reviewing fund administrator outputs, including capital calls, distributions, NAVs, and quarterly reports
- Supporting audit and year-end processes, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of financial statements
- Assisting with management and investor reporting, including performance analysis and ad-hoc requests
- Providing broader finance support across the corporate entity during the year-end cycle
- Helping to refine and strengthen financial controls and reporting processes
Key Skills:
- Formal accounting qualifications (ACA, CA, CPA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Previous experience in fund accounting within a UK-based private equity or alternative investment manager
- A solid understanding of closed-end fund structures and UK accounting/reporting standards
- Strong attention to detail and confidence in reviewing complex financial information
- A proactive approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Right to work in the UK – unfortunately, sponsorship is not available for this role

Job offer:
- Contract length: 12 months (FTC)
- Salary: £80,000–£90,000 (DOE) plus benefits and completion bonus (~20%)
- Location: London – hybrid working (3 days per week in the office)
