Summary: The Senior Finance Analyst will play a pivotal role in the Healthcare Financial Recovery Programme Management Office, focusing on the development and delivery of the Financial Recovery Plan. This interim position requires collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure effective financial oversight and reporting. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain the Financial Tracker for all schemes within the Financial Recovery Programme, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of progress.
  • Produce weekly and monthly financial performance reports, dashboards and Board-level reporting packs.
  • Maintain and update the Project Milestones & Delivery Tracker and ensure alignment with programme timelines.
  • Analyse financial performance data to identify areas of overspend, cost drivers, high-activity areas, and opportunities for efficiency, savings and improvement.
  • Provide finance analysis and advisory support to Project Delivery Managers, acting as a critical friend to clinical and operational teams.
  • Work collaboratively with Finance Business Partners and PMO colleagues to ensure recovery schemes are fully costed, risk assessed and deliverable.
  • Support the creation of business cases, forecasts, performance narratives and PMO assurance documentation.

Key Skills:

  • Qualified or Part-Qualified Accountant (e.g. ACA / ACCA / CIMA) in addition to relevant Degree.
  • Strong finance analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex financial and operational data.
  • Demonstrated experience within healthcare settings, ideally within the NHS.
  • Prior involvement in financial recovery programmes, cost reduction, efficiency delivery or PMO reporting would be highly advantageous.
  • Comfortable advising senior stakeholders and challenging constructively where required.
  • Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills (Power BI experience desirable).

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Finance Analyst to play a key role within our Healthcare clients Financial Recovery Programme Management Office . (FRP) This is a high-profile interim position supporting the development, monitoring and delivery of the organisation’s Financial Recovery Plan. You will work closely with Project Delivery Managers, Finance Business Partners and clinical and operational leads to ensure robust financial oversight, informed decision-making and accurate progress reporting across a portfolio of recovery initiatives. Acting as the finance lead for assigned departments, you will bridge strategic finance and operational delivery, ensuring robust financial management across all workstreams.

Key Responsibilities
