Senior Data Engineer required for an initial 6mth contract to play a key role in designing, building & managing data pipelines that power our BI reporting/dashboards to support key business decisions.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines
• Develop and manage a centralized data lake,
• Implement data governance policies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Optimize data processes,

Skills & Experience:

• Advanced experience as Senior Data Engineer working on Greenfield project/programmes, with a track record of designing and building scalable data pipelines and infrastructure.
• Deep knowledge of data architecture, ETL processes, and technologies such as SQL, Python, Apache Spark, Hadoop, or other big data tools.
• Strong experience with cloud-based data solutions (eg, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and building/managing data lakes.
• Experience implementing data governance and security practices, with a strong understanding of data privacy regulations (eg, GDPR).
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to optimize complex data systems and processes.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
