Summary: We are seeking a Civil Engineer (Onshore) with at least 5 years of experience in infrastructure or energy-related civil design. The role involves supporting senior engineers in the preparation of designs focused on drainage, earthworks, and road alignments, while contributing to major renewable and power projects. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design and delivery of civil engineering works for onshore energy infrastructure projects.
  • Prepare drawings, design models, and calculations for drainage, earthworks, and road layouts.
  • Support the integration of SuDS (Sustainable Drainage Systems) into project designs in line with CIRIA, SEPA, and local authority requirements.
  • Work within UK design standards including DMRB, Sewers for Adoption, and Building Regulations.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers, multidisciplinary teams, and external stakeholders to ensure design quality and compliance.
  • Contribute to the development of BIM models and digital workflows.

Key Skills:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in civil engineering design for infrastructure, utilities, or energy projects.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and InfoDrainage.
  • Solid understanding of drainage design principles, earthworks, and infrastructure design.
  • Familiarity with UK drainage legislation, planning processes, and environmental regulations.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and technical reporting skills.
  • Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline (progressing toward professional accreditation desirable).

We are seeking a Civil Engineer (Onshore) with a minimum of 5 years' experience in infrastructure or energy-related civil design. You'll support senior engineers in the preparation of concept and detailed designs, with an emphasis on drainage, earthworks, and road alignments.

This is a hands-on design role offering the opportunity to grow technical expertise while contributing to major renewable and power projects.
