Summary: The Senior Backend Engineer role is a contract position focused on building and scaling backend systems and APIs for an AI-driven social media start-up expanding into the US market. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in backend engineering, infrastructure management, and strong communication skills. Key Responsibilities:

• Build and scale backend systems and APIs for the product experience.
• Collaborate closely with the iOS team to deliver customer-focused features.
• Manage infrastructure using Terraform and CI/CD pipelines.
• Design and implement systems architecture.
• Communicate effectively about technical processes and system functionalities.

Key Skills:

• 5+ years of commercial experience as a Backend Engineer.
• Proficient in TypeScript, NodeJS (Express), Docker, and Terraform.
• Experience with AWS and Postgres.
• Strong background in systems design and architecture.
• B2C exposure is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills.
