About the Role

We're working with a local government client looking for a Senior Application Analyst to play a pivotal role in the design, development, and management of key business applications. You will lead projects, collaborate with stakeholders, and guide analysts to deliver solutions that meet organisational goals. Key Responsibilities

1. Provide leadership and mentorship to application analysts, ensuring their growth and success.
2. Lead end-to-end delivery of software projects, including design, development, testing, and deployment.
3. Oversee the application lifecycle, ensuring efficient development, maintenance, and eventual retirement of systems.
4. Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver tailored technical solutions.
5. Manage and resolve complex technical issues while adhering to service level agreements (SLAs).
6. Evaluate and optimise applications to ensure scalability, performance, and compliance with industry standards.
7. Drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement best practices across the software development lifecycle.

What We're Looking For

Essential Skills and Experience:

• A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, IT, or a related field, with relevant certifications.
• Proven experience in application analysis, development, and support roles.
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies and lifecycle management.
• Experience in managing complex projects with a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills, with a customer-centric approach to technical solutions.
