Sen Teacher

Summary: The role of a SEN Teacher involves working in a primary and secondary school setting, specifically catering to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). The position requires a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and focuses on providing inclusive education and support to students with additional needs. The teacher will be responsible for maintaining a safe classroom environment and collaborating with other staff to enhance student learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain the classroom and equipment in a safe and tidy condition.
• Contribute to record-keeping by recording observations of pupils during the school day.
• Communicate their knowledge and understanding of students to other school staff.
• Demonstrate positive attitudes, values and behaviours consistent with the role and in line with the expectations.
• Promote, support and facilitate inclusion by encouraging participation of all pupils in learning and extracurricular activities.
• Provide teaching and learning support including the use of appropriate technical resources.
• Supporting and teaching students with SEN and additional needs.
• Work with other SEN Teaching Assistants in groups with students.
