Summary: The Scoping Designer role involves documenting existing electric distribution systems and entering project data into internal tools. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform data entry related to PIF scoping, including measuring and documenting existing cable and conductor lengths.
- Enter scope and mapping information using the Scope Mapping Tool.
- Maintain accurate project data within MDI and/or C55 systems.
- Create clear, accurate scoping drawings, diagrams, and distribution system maps using PDF editing software.
- Review and interpret utility mapping information by consulting ArcGIS or similar GIS platforms.
Key Skills:
- 0–3 years of experience using PDF editing tools to create and modify technical drawings and documentation.
- 0–3 years of experience reading and interpreting utility mapping information using ArcGIS or similar GIS platforms.
- Foundational knowledge of electric utility design and distribution systems, with up to 3 years of hands-on or related experience.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately measure, document, and enter technical data.
- Basic technical and analytical skills with a willingness to learn utility design standards and tools.
