Job Title: SC Cleared Solutions Architect

Job Description

We are seeking an actively SC cleared Solution Architect with a strong expertise in Optel transmission and a solid understanding of VOIP to support a large-scale transformation programme. This role involves close collaboration across network, transmission, and Cisco environments, and requires travel.

Responsibilities

• Act as the Solution Architect for Optel transmission within a complex, multi-vendor environment.
• Design and validate solutions across Optel transmission technologies, including PDH and SDH.
• Support the Traveller platform, ensuring effective integration with Cisco networking.
• Ensure appropriate segregation of circuits, placing required services onto dedicated MPLS networks.
• Provide architectural input to support VOIP services with a high-level awareness.
• Work closely with Cisco technologies, including MPLS and Core Manager Express.
• Produce and review high-level and low-level design documentation.

Essential Skills

• Proven experience as a Solution Architect in large-scale network or transmission projects.
• Converting the DNO/TO trunks at the regional telephony nodes so that they present to the central system as VOIP
• Strong background in Optel transmission networks.
• Hands-on or architectural experience with PDH/SDH.
• Solid understanding of Cisco networking, particularly MPLS.
• experience working in environments where separate circuits must be isolated onto their own MPLS networks.
• VOIP awareness sufficient to ensure compatibility and architectural alignment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• experience operating in large, regulated infrastructure environments is highly desirable.
