Summary: The role of SC Cleared Project Manager involves establishing a Project Management structure for a small SME company in the Defence sector, specifically focusing on military Training & Simulations. The position requires significant experience within the MoD/Defence and is set for an initial 6-month contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for initiating projects from scratch and delivering key objectives while working on a hybrid basis in Wiltshire.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish a proper PM/PMO structure for the company.
- Initiate projects from scratch, including governance and reporting.
- Map out the journey from current state to end goal and create a project plan.
- Conduct financial planning with support from capability leads.
- Deliver a key project in the military Training & Simulations space.
Key Skills:
- Significant MoD/Defence experience.
- Active SC Clearance.
- Ability to create and implement project governance and reporting.
- Financial planning skills.
- Experience with military Training & Simulations (desirable).
Salary (Rate): £500 daily

iO Associates are working exclusively with an SME company to source an SC Cleared Project Manager for an initial 6 month contract.
Till now they have not needed to have a proper Project Management structure in place and they're therefore looking for a Project Manager to come in and set up a proper PM/PMO structure up, and then help them to deliver a key project of theirs in the military Training & Simulations space.
Key requirements:
- Must be able to start up a project from scratch (ie no existing governance, reporting, RAID logs in place at all)
- Be able to map out the required journey from current state to end goal and set up an appropriate project plan
- Must be able to do financial planning (with the support of capability leads who can advise on the costs for each element)
- Active SC Clearance
- Experience with the use of or creation of military Training & Simulations is desirable but not a requirement.
