SAP MDG Tech Lead

Summary: The SAP MDG Tech Lead role involves configuring and implementing SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) solutions while ensuring data quality across SAP systems. The position requires hands-on experience with various SAP MDG components and the ability to gather business requirements effectively. Additionally, the role includes developing custom ABAP programs and enhancing SAP functionalities, particularly in the context of SAP S/4 HANA. The position is based in Slough, England, and operates in a hybrid work mode.

Key Responsibilities:

• Configure and implement SAP MDG solutions based on business requirements.
• Ensure data quality and integrity across SAP systems.
• Hands-on SAP MDG experience in SAP MDG-S / SAP MDG – C / SAP MDG –F / SAP MDG – M, designing custom data model and UIs for SAP MDG.
• Assist business requirement, functional and non-functional requirement gathering for SAP MDG projects.
• Experience on inbound and outbound integration with SAP and non-SAP systems using webservices/IDOCs.
• Provide advice and support for the definition of data standards across master data domains.
• MDG process modelling, Data Modelling, UI Modelling, BRF+ Workflows, DRF configuration, customization and master data design.
• Collate, evaluate and priorities new MDG requirements/enhancements.
• Prepare functional specifications, configuration and technical documentation.
• Conduct unit testing, user training sessions and demo sessions.
• Develop custom ABAP programs to enhance SAP functionalities.
• Be responsible for the development of products using ABAP on Cloud.
• Development skills in following areas: ABAP, OO ABAP, AMDP, Analytical Queries and SQL Script, NetWeaver Gateway, CDS Views, troubleshooting ABAP code, Clean core, SAP S/4 HANA implementation.
• Experience in OData / Rest protocols.
• Integrating CDS views with SAP tools e.g. BODS, Datasphere etc.
• Experience on convenience and governance APIs.
• Experience on creating WebDynpros.

Key Skills:

• Hands-on experience with SAP MDG components (MDG-S, MDG-C, MDG-F, MDG-M).
• Strong ABAP development skills, including OO ABAP and AMDP.
• Experience with SAP S/4 HANA implementation.
• Knowledge of data modelling, UI modelling, and process modelling.
• Familiarity with web services, IDOCs, OData, and REST protocols.
• Ability to prepare functional specifications and technical documentation.
• Experience in conducting unit testing and user training.
• Understanding of data standards across master data domains.
