Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Web Designer / WordPress Front-End Developer who can blend strong technical execution with a refined sense of visual design. In this role, you will be responsible for building a complete website from scratch, taking finalized UI mockups and transforming them into polished, responsive, and visually cohesive webpages that reflect our brand identity with clarity and sophistication. Beyond simply developing pages, you will play an active role in shaping the overall look, feel, and user experience of our digital presence, incorporating thoughtful layout, clean typography, and subtle interaction details that elevate the site experience. This position begins on a contract for the initial full site build, with the opportunity for ongoing collaboration to support enhancements, updates, and future expansions. Key Responsibilities

• Design & User Experience
• Translate UI mockups into visually polished, high-quality web pages
• Ensure consistent brand identity across all website pages
• Apply clean layout, typography, color schemes, spacing, and visual hierarchy
• Optimize visual elements for performance and responsiveness
• WordPress Development
• Build pages using WordPress (custom themes, child themes, or page builders like Elementor, Gutenberg, WPBakery)
• Implement responsive layouts for desktop, tablet, and mobile
• Integrate interactive elements and subtle animations without compromising performance
• Ensure site speed, usability, and cross-browser consistency
• Collaboration & Quality
• Work closely with the team to incorporate feedback and revisions
• Conduct visual QA to ensure pixel-perfect implementation
• Communicate progress, challenges, and timelines clearly

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of professional experience in web design and WordPress development
• Proven portfolio demonstrating modern, polished web design and live WordPress sites
• Strong skills in HTML, CSS, and responsive design
• Experience with WordPress themes, plugins, and page builders (Elementor, Gutenberg, WPBakery)
• Excellent visual design sense: layout, typography, spacing, color, and branding
• Ability to work independently, take ownership, and meet deadlines
• Strong communication skills in English
• Comfortable working with teams operating in CET timezone
• Nice To Have
• Experience with micro-interactions or animations (CSS transitions, GSAP, Lottie)
• Basic understanding of SEO principles (semantic HTML, alt text, headings)
• Familiarity with design tools like Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch
