Summary: The role of VAST Data Storage Engineer involves designing, implementing, and managing high-performance storage systems on the VAST Data Universal Storage platform. The ideal candidate should possess extensive experience in enterprise storage technologies and performance optimization for AI and large-scale data environments. This position requires advanced troubleshooting skills and the ability to integrate storage solutions with various computing environments. The role is remote and classified as outside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design & Implementation: Architect and deploy VAST Data Universal Storage systems to meet performance, scalability, and availability requirements.
  • Integration: Integrate VAST Data solutions with compute, backup, and cloud environments (e.g., NVIDIA DGX, Kubernetes, S3-compatible object stores, or hybrid cloud).
  • Troubleshooting & Support: Provide advanced troubleshooting and technical support for VAST systems, resolving complex hardware/software issues.
  • Documentation & Training: Develop and maintain detailed system documentation and provide training to internal teams.

Key Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in enterprise storage systems (NAS, SAN, object storage).
  • 2+ years of experience with VAST Data platform (installation, configuration, performance tuning, and scaling).
  • Experience with Linux systems administration (RHEL, Ubuntu, or similar).
  • Familiarity with network protocols and high-speed interconnects (InfiniBand, Ethernet, RDMA).

One of our clients is urgently looking for an experienced VAST Data Storage Engineer to design, implement, and manage high-performance storage systems built on the VAST Data Universal Storage platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in enterprise storage technologies, data management, and performance optimization for AI, HPC, and large-scale data environments.

Hourly: Open (Depends on the experience)
