Summary: The role of VAST Data Storage Engineer involves designing, implementing, and managing high-performance storage systems on the VAST Data Universal Storage platform. The ideal candidate should possess extensive experience in enterprise storage technologies and performance optimization for AI and large-scale data environments. Key Responsibilities:

  • Design & Implementation: Architect and deploy VAST Data Universal Storage systems to meet performance, scalability, and availability requirements.
  • Integration: Integrate VAST Data solutions with compute, backup, and cloud environments (e.g., NVIDIA DGX, Kubernetes, S3-compatible object stores, or hybrid cloud).
  • Troubleshooting & Support: Provide advanced troubleshooting and technical support for VAST systems, resolving complex hardware/software issues.
  • Documentation & Training: Develop and maintain detailed system documentation and provide training to internal teams.

Key Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in enterprise storage systems (NAS, SAN, object storage).
  • 2+ years of experience with VAST Data platform (installation, configuration, performance tuning, and scaling).
  • Experience with Linux systems administration (RHEL, Ubuntu, or similar).
  • Familiarity with network protocols and high-speed interconnects (InfiniBand, Ethernet, RDMA).

One of our clients is urgently looking for an experienced VAST Data Storage Engineer to design, implement, and manage high-performance storage systems built on the VAST Data Universal Storage platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in enterprise storage technologies, data management, and performance optimization for AI, HPC, and large-scale data environments.

Hourly: Open (Depends on the experience)
